Sea freight
Sea freight to and from the Netherlands
We arrange sea freight around your cargo, volume and destination. If you also need collection or delivery beyond the ports, include those addresses. The proposal can then cover the parts of the journey you need arranged.
Make the cargo and destination clear
Is the cargo intended for a full container or a smaller consignment? A packing list with quantities, dimensions and weights helps explain the request. Include the packaging and any special handling requirements.
Also set out which parts of the journey you are requesting. This keeps the responsibilities of the sender, recipient and transport providers clear.
Include these details in your enquiry
Origin and destination
Provide both addresses and the departure and arrival ports, if these are already known.
Volume and weight
Include quantities, dimensions and weights. Flag cargo that cannot be stacked or has unusual dimensions.
Ready date and required arrival
When will the goods be ready, and when are they needed? Explain how fixed those dates are.
Documents and arrangements
Share available commercial and cargo information, plus any arrangements made with the supplier.
Questions about sea freight
Do I need to know the container type before enquiring?
Start with the goods, dimensions and weight. If you already have a container type in mind, include it. We will use the cargo details to assess the available options.
Can I discuss collection and delivery beyond the ports?
Yes. Give the collection and delivery addresses and explain which parts you have already arranged. We specify the work covered in the proposal.
Is the arrival date fixed when I request a quote?
No. Your preferred date forms part of the enquiry. A schedule and any associated conditions need to be confirmed separately.
